RFYFA is committed to providing a positive, healthy, and safe environment.

Our Volunteer Coaches are required to complete three requirements prior to coaching.

Background check (Each Season)
Concussion Training (Valid for 24 months)
NFHS Abuse Training (Valid for 24 months)

All of our requirements are done and tracked in the platform Ankored. Starting in 2026, once you register to coach, you will get a set-up invite to create a coaching profile. This set-up takes about 2 minutes.

One you create a profile, coaches can track their requirements on the dashboard that looks like this:

CONCUSSION TRAINING

If you need to complete concussion training, simply hit the "Begin Training" button on your dashboard and complete the training. Upon completion, the certificate will automatically upload.

If you have taken the NFHS concussion training in the last 24 months, simply upload your certificate to satisfy this requirement.

NFHS ABUSE TRAINING

If you need to take the Abuse training through NFHS, you can click on the link in your profile or down below, and upon completion, upload your certificate.

BACKGROUND CHECK

If you need a background check for the season, click the "Run Background Check" button and fill out your information. The dashboard will update your status as it goes through the process.

NFHS Abuse Training

Coaches should visit the NFHS's training program for Concussion training. This free training is required to be done every twelve months.

Upon completion, you'll be provided a certificate that you can upload when registering to coach. If you've completed similar training for another program, you may upload that while registering to coach instead.
